Warning Order BOTSWANA

The International Airborne Society has been officially  invited by the Botswana Defense Force - Special Forces Branch  to jump with it during the week of April 5, 2010 Mark your calendars now. Final details will be complete within two weeks. The operation will include a wild animal safari and other interesting post-jump activities.
 
Botswana is the most Democratic and best politically organized country in Africa. Do your homework.

1st Intl. Paratroops Reunion
Germany – Stendal/Borstel, 27. bis 29. August 2010
My Fellow Paratroopers,
Our association of paratrooper veterans will be hosting the 1st International Paratrooper Reunion in Germany at the birth place of German Airborne Troops, the Stendal / Borstel Airfield, from 27 to 29 August 2010.
This Paratrooper Reunion will be part of an airfield festival.
As part of this event we are planning to execute static line and freefall parachute jumps from various current and historic military jump aircraft.
The following jump aircraft will be on site; Antonov An-28 “Cash”, MH-1521 “Broussard”, and C-12A “Huron”(King Air 200) (for HALO). Additionally, efforts under way to obtain one of the fol-lowing historic aircraft for static line jumpers; Junkers Ju-52, Nord 2501 “Noratlas” (similar to C-119 “Flying Boxcar”), C-47 “Dakota”.
Participants in this event will have the opportunity to jump their own static line and freefall para-chutes or untilize modern military round canopy, or ram-air, parachutes, made available by the organizers.
Apart from the € 50,00 entrance / registration fee, the airborne operations, as well as provisions, will be made available at a nominal cost to all participants.
Participants have the opportunity to acquire lodging in the various local hotel, motel, or Bed & Breakfast establishments, or may also rent one of the camp sites available at the airfield, con-venient to bathroom and shower facilities.

Operations Order for Dutch B wing Course.

You will complete five static line round canopy jumps on the course. Our club proficiency wings and certificate are awarded for the first three jumps.
Dutch Military B wing will be issued with supporting certificate on successful completion of the course.  Places are limited to 15 jumpers.

This course is suitable for first time jumpers.  

 

The price is €360 per person.  

All bookings must be made with a 100 euro none refundable deposit. A partial refund of 50 euro will only be considered on medical grounds and on presentation of a doctors letter of certificate showing your unfit to jump.

 

This is a very active parachuting centre, and accommodation is not available during the weekend, we will book you in for the course from Sunday night. If you arrive in Holland before that, you will need to make your own arrangements for accommodation; the centre will NOT accept any bookings.

 

All Students are to arrive no later than 1930 hrs on Sunday before the course.  Students are to meet in the centre classroom at 2000 hrs, which is upstairs, if you cannot make it for Sunday evening then let me know.  We aim to complete the course by the Friday, so you can make arrangements to leave on Saturday.

 

During Sunday evening we will complete the Centres Statement, ensure you have with you all your insurance and medical documentation and passport photograph.  It is important that you have insurance, please ensure that you have everything in place before you turn up.

 

 

Food and Accommodation.  This will be approx €32 per day including Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, this is not included in the course price.  The bar "De Wolk" will be open from breakfast till 00.00 hours daily.

It is your responsibility to pay for your bed and breakfast.  Please ensure you pay your bill at the end of the course, a list will been given to the bar staff.

Medical. Download our medical form and take it to your GP.  You must have this signed and present it at the start of the course. Without this you cannot jump.

Insurance. The novices on the course do get third party insurance however this does not cover you for repatriation and in the case of the self employed you might want to consider lost of earnings insurance. This is for your peace of mind. Accidents happen when you least expect them. That's why they are called accidents.  We advise you all to take out your own insurance and get it tailored to suit you. Some companies can be found on our web site. Please ask around for the best deal.

Medical booking at Teuge (This is not always available)

 

As a Special favour Simon is prepared to get a doctor in on the Monday for anyone who needs a medical. Price is €30 per person and a minimum of 3 jumpers required. The doctor will visit NPCT.  Be confident you can pass a medical before choosing this option as it’s a long way to go to get turned down and there will be no refunds at that stage.

If you require the doctor to give you a medical please book as soon as you can before your course. If there are less than three patients we cannot do this. If you do not attend your medical once it’s booked you are still libel to pay.

Don't forget you will need one passport sized photographers for your jump certificate and paperwork.

You will be asked how much you wish to pay. You are paying in 360 EURO (not sterling) to

Pathfinderuk1@aol.com It should then ask you for your card information as if you were paying any other bill on line.  Do not set up an account unless you really want one.  You are just paying a bill.

Once you pay this cannot be refunded. Aircraft, aircrew and fuel will then be booked and must be paid for whether you turn up or not.

Remember to pay any admin charges if prompted.

Civilian clothing for off duty hours.

Sleeping bag.

Fresh mattress sheet and pillow case are provided by "De Wolk"

Pillow (inflatable type recommended for those travelling light.)

Washing kit.

 

Dress for jumping.

The combat uniform of your countries military. Do not turn up in a mix and match uniform. Dress correctly or not at all.

If you are a civilian please purchase a set of sterile combats. No headgear if you have not been issued.

Rank can be worn if entitled but not used.

Jump helmets. Any military jump helmet may be used as long as it is serviceable.

Rubber soled boots (serviceable).

Camera. Do not use it in the air.

 

Re-enactors.  You may jump in the uniform of the period your represent, it is recommended that you have a light weight denims, for ground training and the 1st couple jumps rather than BD, you can jump in BD once you have completed a couple of jumps. The same Helmet rule applies.  If it’s not serviceable you cannot jump it.  Some sports helmets are available at the centre.
