Being part of A-company, 2nd battalion, parachute
regiment, Fulton was dropped on the Heelsum DZ on 17 September 1944.
Of the 5200 Para's who jumped that day only 750, under command of

the trigger and shot Bill. Bill was shot in his left upper leg. |
Via the Elisabeth Gasthuis and a German army
field hospital Bill was imprisoned in a POW camp where he was kept until
the end of the war.In 2004 he reopened the John Frost bridge together
with the widow of John Frost. Bill passed away after a sickbed of
several weeks. "Lest we forget"
