Cpl Sean Reeve, 28
|
Cpl Reeve was a member of 63 Signals Squadron, a specialist unit of the
Royal Corps of Signals, which supports the TA SAS on operations.
He had volunteered for a hazardous deployment to Afghanistan and passed
the gruelling High Combat Reserve Course, set by instructors from the
regular SAS.
It is designed to bring reservists up to the same standard as the
regulars of 22 SAS based in Hereford.
He then joined a 100-strong detachment hand-picked for a highly
specialised role training the Afghan Police.
His family paid tribute to their "pillar of strength". They
said: "He was loving, loyal, honourable, selfless and gentle. Sean
was an inspiration to all that were fortunate to have known him. He is
taken from us but never forgotten."
